DON’T KNOCK YOURSELF FOR BEING WHERE YOU ARE: Death, Rebirth, and Transformation

BY: A Libra's Way

I had a lot of accomplishments by 25. I graduated from a top university for my degree. I was able to build my portfolio up to all-time highs. I traveled to 9 countries and all around the US. People want to constantly share their successes and never their failures, especially on social media.

Many times, just as all the “good” is happening, there are other issues lurking that seem to dissipate for the time being. However, they don’t completely disappear just because you got ahead in one area of your life.

Throughout all this time, I was not “everything I was supposed to become”. Today, I rarely keep up with any of my “friends”. People that I used to want to hang around and desperately held on to growing up, are not in my life like they used to be anymore. And that’s ok.

We are allowed to go through our transformation process and block people, energy, or ways of life that are not part of our journey. We will see those people leave, and those who come back, are meant to stay, and teach us more. Life is not all rainbows and butterflies, as we know. Making ourselves feel terrible that we haven’t gotten EXACTLY where we expected we’d be, doesn’t mean we are wrong.

Thirty years ago, there was much less pressure placed on young adults in their teens and 20s. We need to talk about and reflect upon this epidemic of impossible beauty standards and millionaire wealth people call lucky, that plague the youngsters. It’s all a façade.

Attending the perfect university, participating in the perfect internship, becoming the perfect employee at the perfect firm, while having the perfect body, and traveling the world in high-end fashion, is what everyone hypes up online. Everyone I know feels alone. They feel like they don’t necessarily have many friends (most are acquaintances and not everyone can be our friend, of course). Just because you aren’t where you think you are “supposed” to be, doesn’t mean you are wrong.

Don’t knock yourself for being where you are. You are placed exactly where you are supposed to be. Your time is coming. It’s just not happening on your time…it’s happening on God’s time. Keep persevering. Build your dream out. Act on your goals. Stay proactive instead of reactive.

Focus on bettering yourself. If you see that you find yourself in similar circumstances with the same unfavorable outcome repeatedly, or in an even worse place than you were “planning”, this is a blockage and karma that needs to be addressed. It’s not the other person…it’s not the job…it’s you. If you are finding yourself in the same situation in a slightly different scenario each time, you need to realize that it’s where you are going to stay until that situation is fixed and resolved.

Don’t knock yourself for being where you are. You are learning about what your journey entails. All the “good, bad, and ugly” shows you exactly where you need to be. Are you paying attention?

After one transforms, it is normal for the floodgates to open and all of the new possibilities and opportunities to suddenly open up. Those of you who resonate with this, will likely be going through a deep transformation and rebirth soon that will allow for abundance to flow in new ways you haven't seen ever before (or not for a long time). What are you needing to learn from where you are on this journey today? Who or what have you needed to leave behind and why? What lessons are you taking with you? Reflect on these. Your time is coming. Don't fight your fate.
